Get Started Knitting - 3 week course - Thursday evenings

If you've been dreaming of becoming a knitter, but not sure where to start, this course is made for you! In three weeks you'll know the basics, have a project started that you'll finish with your new knitting friends. At the end of session 3 you're officially a knitter!

When: Thursday evenings 5:45-7:15pm, Dec 3, 10, 17

Where: 131 Avenida Del Mar, Suite B San Clemente

Class Size: Max 6

What's Included: 3 x 1.5 hour in-person sessions, Luxe Starter Kit, Online Course & support between sessions.

This course was designed specifically for brand new knitters with zero experience. We take it slow, step-by-step, and everyone works at their own pace. In between classes you'll have the added support of a private online community with video lessons and chat so you don't have to wait for the next class if you get stuck.

You'll learn the basic techniques of knitting: casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, binding off, and weaving in. In the first two sessions we have fun learning how to hold the needles and practicing the new techniques, and in the third session we get started on a simple project that you'll continue working on after class. You can choose between a mug rug/cozy, a scrunchie, or a skinny scarf.

All materials included: you'll receive a luxe starter kit with knitting needles, alpaca/merino wool yarn, a tapestry needle and project bag. Because beginners deserve the good stuff too. All you have to do is show up and have fun!

We meet at Create Cafe, our cozy classroom, where you're supported by your friendly teacher and small group of fellow students.

This class gives you the foundation to start making the knits of your dreams! This is only the beginning. Fiber Club Social Hour is a free gathering every Thursday night from 7-8pm where you can work on your project with other knitters and get help and support. Plus, and a whole world of classes opens up to you, including the Sophie Scarf Puffy Pouf Hat, and Knit Your First Sweater.
